A late check-out facility is available for £30, which extends check-out time from 10am to 12pm. Late check-out includes a bottle of complementary Somerset fizz, so you can extend your holiday celebrations that bit longer.

Canine Code of Conduct. Specify at the time of booking if you intend to bring your well-behaved small dog. A typical small dog will not exceed a maximum of 10 kilos in weight and no more than 40 cm in height and the dog could easily be carried by the owner in their arms if required. An extra charge is applicable per stay, a maximum of 1 well-behaved small dog is allowed in Lens Hut only. We have a dedicated dog exercise walk for your dog located in front of your accommodation which you will need to use. Japanese Tosa.Dogo Argentino.Fila Brasileiro.It’s rare to find luxury holiday shepherds huts that accept dogs, but we believe the two needn’t be mutually exclusive. For your pet’s safety and the consideration of other guests, we do ask that the dog and their owners follow a few simple rules while they are staying here onsite.

Your dog must always be properly controlled and supervised at all times (preferably with a lead on) during your stay. The field is dog-friendly, but it is not completely escape-proof for your dog. Your dog must not be left unattended in the hut or outside, no dog on any furniture or bed and the dog must not enter the hot tub. We therefore advise owners to bring a dog basket and blanket and their dogs toys. Guests are asked to clean up after their dog, both inside and outside of the property a dog waste bin is provided please supply your own dog waste bags, otherwise extra cleaning costs may be charged. Len’s Hut does not accommodate children.

However, the nearest charging point is just over 5 miles away from Tor View Shepherds Huts, at Morrisons Supermarket in Wells (postcode BA5 1UA).

We will provide you with fine Egyptian cotton bed linen for your stay; we have even provided you with a simple dry larder supply that includes West Country Tea bags, high quality ground coffee, sugar and sometimes even a pint of milk ready in the fridge for your arrival.

If you feel like lighting Len’s wood burning stove (or fire pit), you don’t need to worry about wood, kindling or fire starters. They are included, so there’s no need to purchase them from a roadside garage late at night (please use responsibly).

Stepping into the bathroom for the first time you will also find large fluffy towels, shower gel, and fresh toilet tissue. Everything one needs to make the stay perfectly perfect is provided as standard.

Our preferred minimum stay is 3 nights (bank holidays & summer) and 2 nights during the rest of the year.

The minimum stay depends on when you arrive, as you really do need 3 nights to fully appreciate the glamping experience.

Price guide ranges between £109 (Low season) – £169 (High season) per night.

Our pricing varies based upon which day you are arriving and whether it is in high or low season, we also offer the flexibility to arrive 7 days a week, unlike other companies.

As dogs are highly territorial animals who like to know what’s theirs and what isn’t, bringing your dog’s own bed is often a wise choice. It gives them an area that’s theirs to settle down in, or retreat to if they’re nervous; you may also wish to consider an extendable lead, and a blanket or stuffed toy, purely to remind them of their home and keep them calm.

Accidents can happen so be sure to be prepared with a list of your emergency contacts, or local vets should you potentially need them. It’s an uncomfortable idea to entertain, but you’ll be happy you did if you end up needing it.

Much like their owners, dogs will need a little backpack for all their adventure provisions! This could be a tiny rucksack of their own that you shoulder alongside your bag, a space inside your rucksack. Make sure you include a travel water bowl, water bottle, treats and poop bags.

Just like you, your canine friend needs little snacks, pick-me-ups and even regular meals – especially if they’re taking on new adventures where they’ll burn lots of extra calories. Changing their routine and being in new environments can also be stressful for them, and they might not eat as much or as frequently as usual.

Dogs tend to behave really well, until they see an available mud bath. It can be very useful to be able to wash them off with your own muddy kit before they get in the car, let alone into a hut you’re staying.

You will need something to dry off those little paws after a hosing, so a towel is a must. Blankets are also always wise – whilst it’s possible if you have a short-haired breed they might get a little chilly, it’s less about the warmth factor and more about the familiar smell. Having blankets that remind them of home can help them acclimatise to their new surroundings and to long and potentially stressful car journeys. It might, however, get a bit chilly, so getting a little jacket or fleece for them can be a great investment.

Please be mindful that there may be cattle or tractors in surrounding fields and we also have several cats onsite. Therefore, please keep your dog under close control at all times – whilst the area outside is dog friendly, it is not completely escape-proof.
