I'll be honest with you… Glastonbury isn't like anywhere else in Britain. Possibly anywhere else…
Tor View Shepherds Huts reaches double figures!
Tor View Shepherds Huts reaches double figures!
10 Years ago (when we all had less grey hair and more money!) King Richard III was found under a car park in Leicester, the World faced a potential wine shortage – and in a corner of Somerset, a long-held dream became reality.
In 2007 Phil had a dream to build a shepherd’s hut for guests to stay in. 6 years later, in May 2013, Tor View Shepherds Huts was opened. Our original hut ‘Len’ was built on-site and was named after Phil’s grandfather, a farmer who farmed that same land where Len and Ted are situated. It was a real labour of love which combines modern comforts such as an en-suite shower, electric central heating and mood lighting with the rustic charms of a wood-fired hot tub and outside oven.
Several years later Len was joined by his little brother ‘Ted’, and together they have received rave reviews, not to mention numerous awards and a VisitEngland Gold Award. But what is more important to Phil and his wife Mandy is that, over the past 10 years, they have provided peace, calm and a slice of rural heaven to many couples and individuals who want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life for a few days. At Tor View Shepherds Huts you can simply relax, enjoy the views, and watch the world go by.
So, as we wish ourselves a Happy Birthday, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported Phil’s dream over the past 10 years, and welcome everyone who will be experiencing that rural bliss for themselves during 2023.
Cheers!
