This was our 5th visit to Tor View Shepherd Huts. We have just come home from staying in Ted for the 3rd time!
We think Ted is perfect for summer and Len would be our pick for winter months.
Both huts are lovely and so well thought out.
Outside cooking set up is brilliant at Ted and the hot tub is a must for golden hour after dinner. Setting an alarm for sunrise is a must to get the chance to see deer in the field too.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had an amazing weekend staying in ‘Ted’ with its stunning view of Glastonbury Tor. The location is perfect for visiting the Tor and Cheddar Gorge, or simply relaxing and being in nature.
Phil and Amanda have thought of pretty much everything you could need, and although the hut is compact it was perfect for our 3-night getaway.

Hazey and myself had 5 nights in Len, spectacular views and silence with only interruptions from the birds but no complaints there, accommodation, hot tub, views 10/10
Many thanks

Staying at ‘Ted’ was a lovely experience!
Phil & Amanda had clearly thought about every detail with the guest in mind.
The shepherd’s hut was immaculate, everything was in working order, and had all I needed for few days away in the countryside.
Rain or shine, the view of the rolling hills down towards Glastonbury Tor was spectacular. I was able to sit and enjoy the view while reading or journaling. Perfect.
I’ll be booking again!

Spent a lovely three nights in Len at Tor View. The facilities and location were excellent and the owners extremely helpful. We would certainly recommend the hot tub experience. The area was lovely with lots of places to visit plus it was great just to hang around the hut. Thanks again!

Recently had another amazing stay in Ted. We’ve probably stayed here around 10 times but we never get tired of the beautiful location and the fantastic Shepherds huts that Phil’s put in his field. Love the wood burner powered hot tub, pizza oven and cooking on the fire pit with all the cooking bits Phil has there ready (loved the fire pit recipes book!) all against the panoramic views of Somerset and Glastonbury Tor. Beautiful!

Our second stay at Len!
Really feel peaceful and able to disconnect from everyday life.
Cooking on a open fire, laying in the Woodfired hot tub and looking out at the trees and surrounding hills. Will definitely come again.

This was our second visit to the huts, two years ago we stayed in Ted, this time Len, amazing as last time, we bought along our dog Fred this time hence why we stayed in Len.
I loved Len, and the little bed, towel, water bowl & treats for Fred left out were such a lovely thing to do.
Hot tub we loved really is great & relaxing after some long walks we did on our stay, walked into the village had some dinner in the local pub, we ventured into Glastonbury & walked up the Tor.
Thank you Phil & Mandy for making our little holiday just perfect ☺️ Sarah, Steve & Fred 🐶

Lens hut was beautiful and the outdoors hot tub a delight. The farmer on his tractor in the field broke the idyllic nature of the stay somewhat but nevertheless, highly recommended.

We stayed at Ted’s hut for four nights - using it as a base to go to a wedding and also to explore the local area. We had such a wonderful time - idyllic setting, welcoming and helpful hosts, and every facility needed for a glorious few days enjoying the great outdoors in English early summer. We particularly enjoyed soaking under the stars in the hot tub, or enjoying a drink by the campfire with only the sound of birdsong to disturb us. We would definitely return soon if didn’t live quite so far away ( Australia!) but hope to make another visit next time back in the UK. Nicola and Brendon

Best location to get away with 1 person or just on your own. I will be returning for my 6th trip soon. I last stayed in Len with my mother and we both very much enjoyed everything cooked on real fires to floating in the darkness in the still hot hot-tub listening to the night.

We recently had a lovely stay in the Len Shepherds Hut. The hut inside includes everything you could need for a self catering stay, a very firm and comfy bed with warm covers and sheets. A small, but handy kitchen area with electric hobs and a sink to wash up. It really feels as though everything has been carefully selected by Phil and Amanda, and it makes for a very cozy stay. The pictures and ornaments dotted around Len's walls and shelves give it a real homely feel. The hot tub is excellent, and by it being a wood burning tub it turns into it a fun couple's experience to light and maintain the fire! The firepit is also great and there is plenty of wood to use. The views are expansive and we even spotted some deer prancing at the bottom of the field. Although very close to the other holiday properties and main farmhouse, it still feels like you're cordoned off from the world whilst you're there, with nothing but birdsong to interrupt the bliss silence. 10/10 would recommend, and I'm sure we'll be back!!

We have just returned home from TED.
We have had the most wonderful time, a truly lovely getaway break.
Everything about the service, styling and overall experience of staying in one of these gorgeous huts has been so enjoyable. With back to basics facilities that were compact and stylish, while providing everything we really needed, we couldn't fault a thing. The hot tub bath was delightful, a nice way to enjoy an afternoon, taking in the sounds and scenery of this quiet rural retreat.
Phil was fabulous at keeping in touch from arrival to departure (via text message) making sure we were settled and had everything we needed, but in no way intrusive at all.
We are looking forward to staying again in the future, hopefully at LEN.
Thank you!

If you want to get away from it all this is the perfect place! So relaxing and quiet. The only living things we saw were owls and deer! Ted is beautifully decorated, such attention to detail. Everything is set up for ease of use. The log burner does a fantastic job, we stayed in February and the hut stayed so warm even without the logburner on in the mornings. Location is great, so close to beautiful attractions in Somerset. Would definitely stay at Ted again.

After doing some research and reading some positive reviews, we decided to go with this location and truly did not disappoint and exceeded expectations!.
Words cannot express the amazing lifetime experience we had during our stay at Ted's hut! We were not sure what to expect in our first time in a "rural retreat".
The peace we felt during our stay was truly special. Stunning view, we had a clear sky night which gave us the chance to do stargazing.
Overall, it was perfect.

Amazing birthday weekend retreat. My husband and I had the most relaxing time. We found Len's hut was set up perfectly with a great cooking area and wood burner for a cosy evening. Everything was easy to set up and use. Lovely hot shower which you never quite know will work in this type of accommodation. The hot tub was fabulous and I miss it already. Wonderful host, warm, cosy space, stunning views, with deer in the fields. Perfect! Already planning our next visit.

Stayed 3 nights in Ted and loved it. Beautiful location surrounded by quiet, nature, and easy access to walks, surrounding country and villages. The hut was perfect - had everything we needed (full kitchen, bathroom, comfortable bed). They’ve thought of all the small details. Outdoor oven and hot tub were lovely extras!

Booked as a birthday surprise for my partner and we had a wonderful stay in Len’s hut. The hut was spotless and had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Fantastic peaceful location with great views. We really enjoyed cooking and eating outside and the hot tub in the evening was such a luxury. We were very well looked after - nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return.

This was my second visit to Tor View Shepherds Huts but my first time in Len. I was again delighted by everything. The hut was perfectly furnished and equipped, spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I had two wonderful nights sleep, I’m sure I didn’t move all night. I hope to return in the Autumn to enjoy more of the Tor View magic.

Back after 4 years and delighted to say it was just as lovely! So pleased with our stay and finally worked out the walk from the visitors book (saved it to the Ordinance Survey App if anyone fancies a walk with a pub half way). I would recommend checking the list of contents and facilities, especially if you plan on doing your own cooking as it's surprising how much is available. Stayed in early March twice (my wife's birthday) and was cold and a bit wet but lovely and warm in the hut and very cozy. Would heartily recommend! Thank you again Phil and Mandy!

We had the most romantic, relaxing few days staying in Ted, being off grid was perfect as we both have hectic lives and needed some 'us' time. Nothing can beat sitting in the hot tub watching deer graze less than 50yds away, something we'll treasure forever.
Thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful hut, a tick off the bucket list, now back to reality.....

We stayed in December - the hut was really lovely and cozy with a stove fire. Very well equipped. We weren’t able to use the outdoor facilities or hot tub due to the weather but enjoyed the peaceful views over the fields! Phil was a fantastic host and gave us lots of recommendations for local activities. We would love to come back!

Yet another excellent stay at our favourite destination of the year. We are annual visitors to this peaceful Somerset paradise as we just cannot get enough of it. We always stay in ‘Ted’ and he never disappoints. This visit we enjoyed a full week of relaxation, hot tubs and wildlife spotting. The luxurious hut has everything we could possibly require and we only ventured out twice to visit Wells market for some homemade cakes. Each afternoon we fired up the hot tub to sit and watch the deer well into the evening. We can highly recommend a stay in this piece or paradise for anybody wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of day to day life. We love it and will continue to return year after year for the luxury, log fires and beautiful surroundings. Thank you Phil and Mandy for being amazing hosts, we look forward to seeing you again soon. To everyone out there…..book book book, we guarantee you will absolutely love it here!

Recently stayed in Len for my girlfriends 30th and this getaway was simply perfect.
Couldn't of asked for better weather and this only enhanced the shepards hut and glorious hot tub. The suggested walk into Croscombe and through Ham Woods is a must.
1000% recommend to anyone and everyone, don't think twice, Tor View does not disappoint!

Wonderful stay in Ted at Tor View Shepherds Huts. Such a peaceful location with incredible views over Glastonbury and Wells. Perfectly located to pop into either during your stay. The hut is well looked after and the bed is super comfortable. The ensuite bathroom is a nice touch and not often found in shepherds huts. Outside there is an abundance of fire related items; wood fired hot tub, wood fired pizza oven and separate fire pit to sit around whilst watching the sun go down. We really enjoyed our stay at Tor View Shepherds Huts and want to thank Phil and Mandy for making us feel so welcome!

This is our first experience with staying in a Shepherd Hut and it was great. Although space was very small but we had everything we needed, was well designed and was more than adequate. Including the outside space as well there was plenty of room. The hot tub was also excellent, even thou it took some time to get ready. However once it reached the required temperature it maintained it for hours. The location was peaceful and tranquil. Perfect for relaxation which we needed. It was close to anything that we required. Phil was excellent. He answered any queries we had. He also mentioned the Wells Market day which we went along to and although small it was quite interesting. Wells is a very interesting place - well worth visiting. Overall we recommend Lens Shepherd Hut to anyone who wants some relaxing time. We hope to one day stay there again.

Me and my partner stayed in the Len hut and we absolutely loved it. To be honest, we did not really know what to expect from the place as never had done this sort of holiday before. It was our first glamping experience. Well, Len did not disappoint us, we had an amazing 2-night stay. Len had all you would want for a comfy stay: fully fitted kitchen with fridge, 2-ring hob and oven, hot and cold water sink, utensils.. not to mention cutlery, mugs and even colander and measuring jug (!); shower room and WC; table and chairs; double bed with proper mattress; and radio, tv/ dvd player and wi-fi, should you wish to stay connected with the world. Must admit that we sort of had to adapt ourselves to the fact that everything was compact, then you realise that you are not there for your usual mod cons, but for peace and quiet, magnificent views, each other’s company...
Overlooking the stunning Somerset countryside and Glastonbury Tor in the distance, it felt very much secluded staying in Len. Outside, there was everything we needed for relaxation: small table and chairs (perfect for your morning coffee), parasol, day bed/ bench and large table for some proper feast, fire pit (we very much enjoyed it late evenings), candles, bucket cooler with bottle opener (important, eh!), and...... wood-fired hot tub (did not get a chance to use it though).
Also, have to mention an intricate decor of Len, including various attributes, both inside and outside the hut, that make you associated with the place: books, maps, photographs, vintage suitcases, stoneware flagons, rustic wooden boxes...
If you are considering booking Len, do not hesitate at all - it has everything you would want for a perfectly nice and relaxing sojourn. As for the area, there are plenty of places to visit: Wells, Mendip Hills AONB - Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, Montacute House, Tintinhull Garden, Barrington Court and, of course, Thatchers Cider, plus many more.
