What could be better than your very own rural retreat with its very own wood-fired hot tub? Our shepherd hut holidays are perfect for couples and new parents wanting a romantic break in peace and tranquillity. Spend your days in the surrounding countryside – perhaps taking a lovely walk or visiting a quaint village or nearby landmark – and then return to your cosy shepherd’s hut and relax in your very own private hot tub.

We have had a wonderful time. Blissfully relaxing and, well that’s it really – blissful. The bed was comfortable and waking up to that view with the deer quietly grazing was very special. No grand meal in any restaurant or pub could match the pleasure of a simple baked potato cooked on an open fire. You have made it a wonderful celebration of our 30 years of marriage.

We have lost count how many times we have stayed here now!

What we haven’t lost is how beautiful and peaceful it is. Phil & Amanada attention to detail has been A++ consistent every time. This weekend we have visited Hartley’s kitchen (best breakfast!) We went on the ESR steam train visited the Mendip hills picked up supplies up from Torners Farm shop visited Priddy where you can go to Deer leap and sit on a bench and see some breath-taking views, had a lovey meal in the queen Victoria friendly traditional pub. Our most favourite part always though is the hot tub at night looking at the stars at night and listing to all the birds we will be back again.

“Wow! It’s like the Tardis,you’ve packed in so much but it feels so spacious, and all done with so much thought and style. I think you’ve set the “gold standard” for glamping, and the en suite is wonderful. It’s a magical place, mysterious outside, with the mist at sunset, but the lights were on warm and welcoming like a secret cocoon.”

“Since we booked this holiday we have been counting down the days. The expectation was surpassed by Len! We have done so much in our time here but most of all we have relaxed and enjoyed the peace. Cooked steaks in the fire pit, watched deer in ‘our’ field and listened to the owls around us. Lit the stove and cooked (windows & doors open) and constantly found new things hidden away. Thank you Phil & making us so welcome.”

“We loved staying in the cosy, warm hut, the fog, gales and the beating rain made it even more atmospheric. The attention to detail is amazing, and we had such fun opening all the draws and cupboards and being surprised at we found!

The books were apt and interesting and we loved the sheep memorabilia, there is so much packed into a small space and it still looks modern and uncluttered.”

This was our 5th visit to Tor View Shepherd Huts. We have just come home from staying in Ted for the 3rd time! We think Ted is perfect for summer and Len would be our pick for winter months. Both huts are lovely and so well thought out. Outside cooking set up is brilliant at Ted and the hot tub is a must for golden hour after dinner. Setting an alarm for sunrise is a must to get the chance to see deer in the field too. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely stay in Lens hut, it’s cozy and welcoming and everything you need for a little weekend away. Would definitely recommend for anyone just wanting to get away from the world for a while

Our hot tubs also blend in beautifully with their rustic Somerset glamping surroundings, with an original design and crafted from materials which are as durable as they are beautiful. So, you won’t find any bling, lights, or speakers here – only a pure, authentic, wood-fired bathing experience.
